Kirani James Receives Golden Ball

             The Jason Roberts Foundation Golden Balls Committee presented Kirani James with the award for the last quarter of 2009.

              The Golden Balls Award was set up by Jason Roberts himself to acknowledge individuals who have excelled in services to sport within Grenada.

             Kirani James was honoured for his services to track and field after his performances last year in the World Youth Championships in Germany winning gold at 200 and 400 metres. Kirani has dominated the Inter-Col Championships for the last few years in track and field in Grenada and in 2009 broke World, CARIFTA and National Championship Records in 400 metres. He wass a student at GBSS school and is a now in Alabama University, in the USA on a sports scholarship. He is a very level headed boy who already is a role model for many youths in Grenada.We would like to wish Kirani the best of luck with his studies and training next year. Kirani has been tipped to become one of the top athletes in the world in future years.
