Coaches Training: FA Level 1

In June 2008 the Foundation offered an opportunity for local Grenadian coaches to participate in English FA Level 1 accredited coaching qualification courses. The Foundation were pleased to have FA coach educator, Geoff Noonan, to deliver 2 course over a period of 2 weeks.

A total of 24 Grenadian coaches successfully completed the course and became the first group of Grenadians to obtain an FA Level 1 coaching certificate in football delivered in Grenada. The successful coaches also included the first 3 female coaches to gain a coaching qualification in Grenada. The successful coaches were then given an opportunity to gain further experience by coaching on the Foundation’s Summer Football Programme in July.

The Grenadian Olympic Committee supported the coach education programme by contributing to the funding of the courses.
